London Custom Bike Show Video

For the second year running, the London International Custom Motorcycle Show was held at the famous Alexandra Palace on the north side of London. I went with Ian Solley of 7Ages Custom Motorcycles who posted some good pictures of the show on his blog.

From looking at the Harley-Davidson Road King UK blog, I could see Axel also went, but sadly we didn’t bump into each other. I much prefer this smaller custom show to the main London Motorcycle Show. The people are more interesting and so are the bikes. There is more innovation on display and while the bikes are highly polished, the organisation, the stands and some of the people are not. That somehow makes it better for me.

Instead of taking regular pictures, which I found quite difficult last year due to the low light levels in the halls, I decided to take a small video camera and see what I could achieve with that....

My ISP is just a little better than Indians with a blanket and smoke, so video watching is just too painful. Went to visit Ian. Awesome, big bucks, bikes. Thanks.

Gary:
+1 on the video quality - just superb. Great bikes and just to drop the tone a notch, great chicks.

Time for you to become a professional movie producer, methinks :-)

Well done mate!

Great video editing, cool music. What can't you do? As pretty as some of the bikes might have been, I found the Vincent the best.

Love the video, and you even have details of the Twin Pan by Guildford HD I could photograph in the workshop. And DJ Rob, the world is small...and we still didn't meet :)) it will come one day

Patti – I am glad you went to see Ian’s pictures. Sorry about your ISP, but maybe one day they will get better.

Rob – Thanks. I can’t cook.

Mr Motorcycle – I am glad you liked it.

Oz – There are two things you need for editing. Good software and huge quantities of time.

Ian – Cheers. You are in it, albeit very fleetingly.

Gary, outstandingly edited video with the perfect accompanying music! I'll have to remember the GoPro next time I go to a bike show!

Like Sonja, I liked the Vincent best....

Great video! I was drooling over most of those bikes. Though the less "flashy" the better. Like Sonja and Don, I liked the Vincent. But the chromed HD was attractive.

Eve – Glad you liked it!

Chris – The great thing about it is you can carry it so easily in your hand. Very versatile.

Geoff – Dropping the tone can be great fun! It was a fun video to put together, but professional – nah!

Sonja – As soon as I saw the Vincent, I thought “Sonja would like this!” It was my favourite too.

Axel – I saw the Twin Pan on your blog. It is a good looking bike. The world is indeed small. I hope we get to meet in Croatia. I just you my mobile number so we don’t miss each other again!

Charlie6 / Dom – Thanks. I thought it might make a change to make a video instead of taking regular photos. Me too, that Vincent was fantastic!

Beemer / Lori – Flashy has its place! I was drooling as well and going to the show gave me a few ideas for my next bike.....

Wholly shit brother Gary! I absolutely DIG THIS VIDEO! Very cool and it kicks the crap out of anything I have ever done.

I could go on for a while about ass stompin' this video is, but I have to get back to work.

You got talent friend...I'll take any left-overs you can spare. Thanks for the trip.

Thanks for the great idea Gary! I took my GoPro to the bike show last week and made a similar video. I don't have the editing skill you do (or your patience!) so here is my ode to your vid:
